Photographer Denise L. Ritter captured these scenes at McKeesport's Lake Emilie in Renziehausen Park on Saturday, the first day of trout season in Pennsylvania.

One family brought three generations to fish in the manmade lake near the intersection of Eden Park Boulevard and Tulip Drive, and said they've been out on the first day of trout season for 34 years. Another man recalled when Lake Emilie used to be a carp lake with an island in the center where you could feed the ducks. "You could always get fish out here," he said.

The lake, which drains several natural springs, is stocked annually. More photos after the jump.
