Police Beat: Suspect Sought in Theft

City police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man suspected of stealing an expensive wireless Internet accessory from a local store.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 50 to 60 years old, standing about 5-feet-5 to 5-feet-8 tall and weighing between 250 and 280 pounds, police said. He was last seen wearing a light-colored ball cap with a two-tone jacket (possibly denim or blue jeans material) with an unknown logo on the back.

Reported stolen was a Verizon Wireless aircard valued at $350, police said.

Anyone with information about the theft or this suspect is asked to call city police Officer Mike Mihalko at (412) 675-5015 or (412) 675-5016.
