A history of the city's former Firth-Sterling Steel Co. will be presented at McKeesport Regional History & Heritage Center at 2 p.m. Oct. 26 as part of the group's annual Founder's Day celebration, a spokeswoman said.
Heritage Center board member Dan Piesik will present "A Story of Firth Sterling," focusing on that company's unique business and its contributions to manufacturing, and to the growth of the city.
The event will be held at the Heritage Center, 1832 Arboretum Drive, Renziehausen Park. It is free and open to the public. Call (412) 678-1832 for more information.
