The McKeesport Area High School Orchestra and the Steel Valley Concert Choir are among 26 local bands, orchestras and choruses that will bring holiday music to the Allegheny County Courthouse this month.

The 46th annual Holiday Choral Program begins tomorrow, Dec. 3, with a performance by the Quaker Valley High School Concert Choir at 11:30 a.m. All concerts are held on the courthouse's grand staircase, 436 Grant St., downtown Pittsburgh.

Performances will be held each weekday through Dec. 20. The McKeesport Area High School Orchestra will perform at 12:20 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, and the Steel Valley Concert Choir will perform at 12:20 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Other Mon-Yough area groups include the Pittsburgh Mifflin Chorus, from Mifflin Elementary in the city's Lincoln Place section, which will perform at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12.

All of the concerts are free and open to the public, though concert-goers are asked to donate an unwrapped gift for the county's Holiday Project.
