Penn Staters Put on Hoop Clinic for Local School

Category: News || By Submitted Report

The Penn State Greater Allegheny women's and men's basketball teams held an informational clinic with girls and boys from Mon Yough Catholic School in Wunderley Gymnasium on campus.

Seventy student-athletes from Mon Yough Catholic came out for a two-hour clinic, where both the men's and women's basketball players coached the kids and helped them with their rising skill levels. Not only was the clinic informational but also a very good time for all athletes involved, said Greater Allegheny Athletic Director Jim Chester.

"Our athletic department takes pride in giving back to the community, and our men's and women's basketball programs did a tremendous job with the student-athletes of Mon Yough Catholic," Chester said.
