City Posts Summer Events Schedule

The City of McKeesport has released its events schedule for summer 2014.

The calendar includes the popular concert series at Renziehausen Park, the return of both the McKeesport Grand Prix bicycle race and the Labor Day ribfest, and a new, post-Labor Day event being billed as "Patriotism Day."

  • June 7: Annual Fishing Derby, Renzie Park, Lake Emilie, 8 a.m.

  • June 7: McKeesport Grand Prix Bike Race, Renzie Park, 9 a.m.

  • June 12: Good Neighbor Day, Fifth Ave., Downtown, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • June 13: Summer Movies in the Park: "Frozen," Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 8:30 p.m.

  • June 15: Summer Concert Series: The Vogues, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 7 p.m.

  • June 22: Summer Concert Series: East Wind Symphony, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 7 p.m.

  • June 29: Summer Concert Series: Dr. Zoot, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 7 p.m.

  • July 4: Summer Concert Series: Treasure, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 7 p.m.; fireworks after dark

  • July 6: Summer Concert Series: Sputzy, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 7 p.m.

  • July 13: Summer Concert Series: Beatlemania Magic, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 7 p.m.

  • July 20: Summer Concert Series: Horizon, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 7 p.m.

  • July 27: Summer Concert Series: Nightlife, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 7 p.m.

  • Aug. 3: Summer Concert Series: The '80s Band, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 7 p.m.

  • Aug. 10: Summer Concert Series: Judy Figel, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 7 p.m.

  • Aug. 11: Village for Kids Day, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 11 a.m.: 3 p.m.

  • Aug. 12-14: International Village, Renzie Park, Stephen Barry Field, 3 to 10 p.m.

  • Aug. 17: Summer Concert Series: Scott, Rob & Greg of The Clarks, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 7 p.m.

  • Aug. 22: Summer Movies in the Park: "Lego Movie", Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 8 p.m.

  • Aug. 24: Summer Concert Series: The Four Townsmen, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 7 p.m.

  • Aug. 30: Labor Day Weekend Ribfest, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell

    • Concert: Born and Raised, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 2 p.m.

    • Concert: Ed Harmon Band, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 4 p.m.

    • Concert: "The Volunteers", Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 7 p.m.

  • Aug. 31: Labor Day Weekend Ribfest, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell

  • Lions Car Cruise: Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 5 p.m.

    • Concert: The Jaggerz, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 7 p.m.

  • Sept. 1: Labor Day Weekend Ribfest, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell

    • Concert: Jimmy Beaumont & the Skyliners, Renzie Park, Lions Bandshell, 7 p.m.; fireworks after dark

  • Sept. 7: Patriotism Parade & Concert: Renzie Park, Parade 6 p.m., Concert 7 p.m.
