I enjoyed your cartoon about the fomer GetGo on the corner of Walnut and Fifth which was the location for H. L Green 5 and dime store. In the sixties we stood in front of Greens to watch the Murphy Office girls go by at lunch time. Keep up the good work, the readers enjoy your creativity.

H.L. Green – Now there’s a blast from the past. We used to have one here in Silver Spring (MD). Been gone many, many years (along with all the rest of the five-n-dimes). Besides Green’s, we also had Kresge’s and Ben Franklin. There was probably a Murphy’s around here too, though I don’t presently recall one.
