Penn State Campus Hosts Santa Breakfast Saturday

Category: Announcements || By Submitted

Before Santa makes his annual trip around the world, he will make a very special visit to Penn State Greater Allegheny as the campus' Alumni Society sponsors its 26th annual Breakfast with Santa at 9 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 6) in the Student Community Center. More than 100 disadvantaged children from the Mon Valley area will attend the event.

The event will include many activities and entertainment throughout the morning. Children will enjoy breakfast and candy before Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive on a fire truck. Each child will get to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and pick a present.

"The Alumni Society has been hosting the Breakfast with Santa for 26 years now," says Denise Kubli, president of the Penn State Greater Allegheny Alumni Society. "It is one of the ways in which we give back to the community and show our Penn State Pride. And, of course, we love getting the chance to brighten the holiday season for these children and their families."

This event is made possible through donations from local area businesses, alumni, advisory board members, staff, faculty and friends of Penn State Greater Allegheny.
