Speak for Yourself

Category: Pointless Digressions, Politics, So-Called Radio Humor || By

A few days ago, I mentioned CCAC South Campus' production of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues.

Well, the subject came up again on Saturday during my radio show:

WRCT-FM, Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008 (1.79MB, MP3)

. . .

A Sprinkle of Politics: Check out what Barack Obama's got in each hand in this photo from Wednesday's Washington Post:

If he'd have been carrying a Starbucks cup, he'd have lost my vote right away. But two dozen Dunkin' Donuts?

Well, all I have to say is: Would you like a booth, Mr. President? Or are you sitting at the counter?

No wonder he creamed Hillary on Tuesday. She even had a glazed look in her eyes.

Your Comments are Welcome!

Other than the thought that you may have waited longer than you should have to throw the fellow out, I thought it was rather hilarious. Amazing what the theater of the mind can be like if one has to envision what is happening on the other side of the microphone. Also, you managed to preserve some semblance of good taste … I’m not sure how unusual that is, but it is a hopeful sign.

Obama has my vote now. I am sure Hilary is a KK kind of woman. I hear DD is making a comeback. We need more around here.

When cold weather makes you go nuts,
that’s no time for Dunkin’ Donuts.

When you’re carvin’ out your punkin,
that’s the time for Donut Dunkin’.

Bob, those who write on blog-house walls
Roll their blogs in little balls …
Aw, never mind.

Dude, I like Dunkin’ Donuts better than Krispy Kreme by far. Donut Connection on Eden Park Blvd. also isn’t bad.

But the best of all is Minerva Bakery. They had heart-shaped donuts with pink sprinkles this week for Valentine’s Day. Mmmm …

If he had a Coffee from Pepperz (best in town!) or a Zoscak’s hoagie (best deal in town) I would no longer be undecided. Jim’s Hotdogs or wings from The Retreat would do as well.

How were your roads this morning? 7th Ward School zones were good in the Port! ;)

Squeaky wheel syndrome I guess. Details in last few posts on my blog.

Did you see the Jim Brewster/Dave Donato love fest by Norm Vargo in today’s PG?

I’ve said all along that if these two would put their minds and efforts together that Mckeesport, the School District and the whole Valley would benefit greatly.

Maybe I’m a prophet now….

Here’s a prediction for you. Mark Kaboly’s Quad A title matchup will not happen. What a Crummie pick! We trying to sell the Daily News in Oakland now too? Used to be the “McKeesport” Daily News, didn’t it?

Take the Tigers Friday giving the points…:)

Peace.

You’re the second or third person to tell me about Pepperz. The Phantom Diner needs to make a field trip soon.

My roads were fine —- there has to be some reason we put up with the three-ring circus we call borough council.

Once your try Pepperz coffee, you’ll never switch.

Looks like me and Bill Peduto are on the same page as far as snow removal is concerned:

Interesting how two publications have slightly different takes on the same story….

Tigers play Central at 8:00 PM Tuesday at Baldwin H.S. Charlie Kiss is selling tickets for $4 today from 5:00 to 6:00 (PM) at the entrance to Founder’s Hall (Voc, to us old timers) gym. Please spread the word. Good luck to your Eagles. Doesn’t look like they’ll need it.

Hit my blog for all the latest on the Tiger’s championship run.

Thanks!
